The Seneca Fighting Irish will take on the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seneca will be strutting in after a victory while Joliet Catholic will be coming in after a loss.
Last Thursday, Seneca's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 41-37 W over Midland. The win made it back-to-back wins for Seneca.
Meanwhile, Joliet Catholic's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 12th straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 64-27 loss at the hands of Carmel. Joliet Catholic has not had much luck with Carmel recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Joliet Catholic's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Mihelich, who scored nine points along with two steals, and Symone Holman who scored seven points.
Seneca's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Joliet Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 18 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-26 record this season.
Seneca didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Joliet Catholic in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, but they still walked away with a 40-36 win. Does Seneca have another victory up their sleeve, or will Joliet Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
