Charlestown came up short on Friday despite Boomer Hester delivering his best game to date. Hester rushed for 288 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.

Landon Shuck was instrumental in extending Scottsburg's winning streak to five on Friday. Nobody could stop Shuck as he rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.
Shuck must have Mitchell's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Shuck last faced the Bluejackets back in September of 2023, he rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Another Game with at Least 150 Rushing Yards from Carson Lawyer
Carson Lawyer continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 150 rushing yards. He rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
The win (which was Corydon Central's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4. Lawyer and Corydon Central will head out to face off against Providence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
