Grace might have lost, but man, Ethan Lasecla was a machine: he rushed for 305 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 276 yards and a touchdown. Lasecla was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. A healthy portion of that aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Aidan Kolesar, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Nordhoff made off with a 15-14 victory over Riverside Prep.
Among those leading the charge was Jameson Moya, who rushed for 105 yards.
Nordhoff wouldn't let Riverside Prep keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Nordhoff can thank Brian Herrera and Uriel Covarrubias for forcing both of them.
Grace's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Nordhoff, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
