The Regents Lions came tearing into Monday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Fresta Valley Christian 62-18 at home. The result was nothing new for Regents, who have now won five contests by 29 points or more so far this season.
Regents' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Morris Hoffman led the charge by scoring 12 points. Hoffman is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was David Keppel, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Regents pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.36 points. As for Fresta Valley Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regents will take on Ridgeview Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Fresta Valley Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Legacy Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
