The Summit Academy Eagles stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Teachers Prep 73-32 at home. The victory was nothing new for Summit Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Summit Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amerie Santana, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Santana continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Sariah Gammon was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with seven steals.
Summit Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Teachers Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Summit Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Van Arsdale at 10:00 a.m. on January 13th. Van Arsdale is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Teachers Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on All City Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
