The Davis Darts will head out on the road to take on the Farmington Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Davis is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Davis is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Syracuse, who was ranked 11th at the time (Davis was ranked fourth). The Darts blew past the Titans 54-22 on Friday. Considering the Darts have won four contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Davis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tradon Bessinger, who threw for 504 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78% of his passes. Bessinger is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Davis also got help from Tyson Baggett, who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.
Davis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jaxton Itaaehau, Isaac Morrison, and Bridger Young picked up one apiece. Davis got some further help from Ethan Lockwood: he picked up a sack and made 19 total tackles (1.5 for loss).
Meanwhile, Farmington was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Fremont by a score of 24-17. The victory continues a trend for the Phoenix in their matchups with the Silverwolves: they've now won five in a row.
Farmington's win came from a few key players Davis will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Will Peterson, who threw for 118 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 56 yards. Drew Love was another key player, gaining 125 total yards.
Davis' record now sits at 6-1. As for Farmington, their record is now 3-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Davis has been unstoppable in the air this season, having averaged 397.9 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Farmington, though, as they've been averaging only 140 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Davis couldn't quite get it done against Farmington when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 28-20. Thankfully for the Darts, Travis Hoopes (who rushed for 145 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
