Basketball Recap: Tyriana Robinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead SA Roosevelt over LEE

SA Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 59-36 to the LEE Volunteers. While losing is never fun, the Rough Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 842nd, while the Volunteers are ranked 313th).

Several Rough Riders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyriana Robinson, who posted nine points. That's the most points Robinson has posted since back in November of 2024. Taaliah Miller was another key player, putting up two points and ten rebounds.

It was another big night for Rosanelly Pastrano, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 26 points along with six steals and five boards for LEE. Pastrano's evening made it 27 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Divin, who scored eight points and three steals.

SA Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for LEE, their win bumped their record up to 21-11.

SA Roosevelt will challenge Churchill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Churchill will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something SA Roosevelt surely won't give up without a fight. LEE has already played their next contest (against Reagan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
