The Ben Lomond Scots will head out on the road to face off against the Granger Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Ben Lomond was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Kearns. Ben Lomond has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Ben Lomond got a solid performance out of Jonathan Alcarez, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Christensen, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Granger's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. Their rough 82-60 defeat to Jordan might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Granger in their matchups with Jordan: they've now lost five in a row.
The losses dropped Ben Lomond to 3-5 and Kearns to 1-4.
Ben Lomond came up short against Granger in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 56-47. Can Ben Lomond avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
