Keagan Statler Dazzles in Highland Victory
Starting off the list is Highland's Keagan Statler, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Statler rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 39 yards and a touchdown.
Blytheville had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Statler it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Statler saw the Chickasaws), he rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry.

Mclaughlin Made His Presence Known in Southside's 43-7 Win
Owen McLaughlin's big game helped extend Southside's winning streak to six on Friday. McLaughlin did his part (and then some), rushing for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also catching a touchdown for the 'W'. McLaughlin is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 113 every time he's taken the field this season.
Southside's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. McLaughlin and Southside will take on Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jimmy Jensen Makes It Two for Highland
The second Highland player making an appearance here is Jimmy Jensen, and for good reason. He rushed for 18 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 61 receiving yards.

Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns from Tony Postell Jr
Tony Postell Jr continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Trumann and nudges their season record down to 2-4. Postell Jr and Trumann will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Blytheville at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.
