The West Shamokin Wolves had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 39-34 win over Marion Center on Wednesday. For West Shamokin, this counts as revenge for the 45-40 loss Marion Center walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Marion Center had strong showings from Cameron Pack, who scored nine points along with five rebounds, and Evan Risinger, who scored 11 points. Noah Mccoy was another key contributor, scoring five points.
West Shamokin's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Marion Center, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Shamokin will take on Homer-Center at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Marion Center, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Penns Manor at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Penns Manor is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
