Gananda Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lyons recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Blue Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Lions at 4:45 p.m. Gananda Central's pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so Lyons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Gananda Central took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Williamson as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Will Schneemann made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season.
Schneemann wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mason Mangers, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Those runs were Mangers' first of the season.
Meanwhile, Lyons posted their closest win since May 14, 2025 on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Byron-Bergen 6-4.
Austin Rice was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
The win got Gananda Central back to even at 2-2. As for Lyons, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Gananda Central has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lyons struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Gananda Central was able to grind out a solid win over Lyons when the teams last played back in May of 2025, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
