Wethersfield took a serious blow against Manchester on Friday, falling 56-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wethersfield has scored all season.
It was another big night for Tiara Tyson, who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds for Manchester. The matchup was Tyson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Elise Ryan, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
Wethersfield are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Manchester, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wethersfield will face off against Bristol Eastern at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bristol Eastern presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wethersfield in Connecticut (Bristol Eastern is ranked 23rd, while Wethersfield is ranked 125th). As for Manchester, they will head out on the road to face off against Rocky Hill at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocky Hill is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
