Kendrick and Potlatch are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2023, but likely not for long. The Tigers will take on the Loggers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Kendrick sitting on ten straight wins and Potlatch on four.
Kendrick gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Genesee 17-3. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Joha Hultman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
In other batting news, Kendrick got a massive performance out of Ralli Roetcisoender, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Roetcisoender is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Blake Morgan also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
11 must be Potlatch's lucky number: they beat Prairie with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Loggers were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Pirates. Considering the Loggers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Jay Marshall, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brody Mitchell, who went 1-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Kendrick's record is now 15-2. As for Potlatch, their record now sits at an identical 15-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kendrick has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Potlatch struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Kendrick suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Potlatch when the teams last played on April 7th. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
