The Waldron Spartans will be home for the holidays to greet the Litchfield Terriers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Waldron will be strutting in after a win while Litchfield will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Waldron has not done well against Jackson Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Waldron took down Jackson Christian 51-36.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Litchfield's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. The contest between Litchfield and Reading wasn't particularly close, with Litchfield falling 49-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Litchfield has scored all season.
The victory got Waldron back to even at 3-3. As for Litchfield, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1.
Waldron came up short against Litchfield in their previous matchup back in February, falling 56-45. Can Waldron avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
