There's no place like home for the Lexington Yellowjackets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They claimed a resounding 54-16 win over Thomasville at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lexington has posted yet this season.
Lily Ervin was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Cowan, who scored 13 points.
Lexington's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Thomasville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Lexington will head out on the road to take on North Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Rowan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Lexington likes a good challenge. As for Thomasville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Davidson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Davidson and Thomasville are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
