McIntosh and the Patriots are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The McIntosh Chiefs will be playing at home against the Northside Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (McIntosh is ranked 307th, while the Patriots are ranked 288th).
On Saturday, things could have been worse for McIntosh, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-43 loss to the Jaguar.
Meanwhile, even though Northgate scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Northside still came out on top. Northside took their matchup against the Vikings 65-58. The win was just what Northside needed coming off of a 70-46 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zariah Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Northside's points. Another player making a difference was Morgan Thomas, who scored 22 points.
McIntosh's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Northside, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.
McIntosh came up short against the Patriots in their previous matchup back in January, falling 55-46. Will McIntosh have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
