Basketball Recap: Parkway South Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Parkway South had won two straight games and Noah Barnes did his part to make it three on Monday. The Parkway South Patriots managed a 60-54 win over the Hazelwood East Spartans thanks in part to Barnes, who went 11 of 20 on his way to 34 points along with eight assists and five boards. His morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Parkway South has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Hazelwood East, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Parkway South will be taking part in a tournament against Ladue Horton Watkins at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ladue Horton Watkins will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Parkway South surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hazelwood East, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hazelwood West at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
