There's no place like home for the Ocala Christian Crusaders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They snuck past Citrus with a 44-38 victory on Monday.
Citrus' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Demi Williamson, who scored 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds, and Kendyl Hunnicutt who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds. Williamson scored a full 44.7% of Citrus' points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Even though they lost, Citrus were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The victory got Ocala Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Citrus, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Ocala Christian will head out on the road to face off against Meadowbrook Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Citrus won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nature Coast Tech at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Nature Coast Tech's defense has only allowed 27.5 points per game this season, so Citrus' offense will have their work cut out for Citrus.
