Even though the Brenham Cubs scored an imposing 65 points on Tuesday, the Lake Creek Lions still came out on top. Lake Creek enjoyed a cozy 83-65 win over Brenham. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lake Creek.
Aedan Lewis was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Jett Sutton was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three blocks.
Lake Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Brenham, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-3.
Lake Creek will head out on the road to face off against Magnolia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Magnolia is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Brenham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Montgomery will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 800th, while Brenham is ranked 160th).
