After a string of four wins, Hays's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Glenn Grizzlies by a score of 2-0. The shutout was out of character for the Hawks seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Hays' defeat dropped their record down to 16-7-1. As for Glenn, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11-3.

Coming up, Hays will challenge Seguin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Matadors have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Glenn, they will square off against Elgin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight.
