The Florence Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Blanco 78-11. Florence was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-10.
Blanco's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mina Broyles led the charge by scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Broyles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kaylee Romero was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with nine steals and seven assists.
Florence dropped their record down to 2-22 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for Blanco, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-16.
Florence will head out on the road to square off against Ingram Moore at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blanco, they will be playing at home against Comfort at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
