For Academy, this counts as revenge for the 31-22 defeat Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Academy will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Urbana University at 5:30 p.m. on February 8, 2024.
