Basketball Recap: Rochester Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Rochester won the last time they faced North Miami and things went their way on Saturday too. The Rochester Zebras came out on top against the North Miami Warriors by a score of 69-58. Given the Zebras' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Warriors are ranked 371st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rochester had a senior duo take command as Drew Bowers went 8 of 19 on his way to 23 points in addition to five assists and four steals and Tanner Reinartz went 5 for 10 en route to 19 points along with five assists and three steals. Bowers' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jonas Kiser, who posted nine points.

Rochester has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for North Miami, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rochester will square off against Southwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rochester is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for North Miami, they will challenge Whitko at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Miami is facing Whitko at the right time seeing as Whitko is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
