On Saturday, Naples Classical strolled past Pineapple Cove Classical Academy with points to spare, taking the game 72-54.
Daniel Coldiron continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 37 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Colman Gillen, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Pineapple Cove Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Michael Barna, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Matthew Barna was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Naples Classical pushed their record up to 4-9 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Naples Classical will square off against Tournament Opponent at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Edward's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
