The Green Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 61-16 victory over East at home. The result was nothing new for Green, who have now won four matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Leading Green to victory were Abbie Knapp and Matti Hayslip. Knapp scored 16 points along with seven steals and six rebounds, while Hayslip dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Knapp has scored at least 25% of Green's points. Isabella Conley was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Green and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green will square off against Clay at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. East is on the road again on Monday and play against St. Joseph Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 8th.
