Baseball Recap: Riverdale Ridge Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Riverdale Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Centaurus Warriors on Monday. Considering the Ravens have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Nick Williams, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeter McArthur, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Riverdale Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Centaurus, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, Riverdale Ridge is taking a road trip to face off against Westminster at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ravens' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Centaurus, they will host Frederick at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
