Gulfport's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34 points. As for Pearl, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Gulfport won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in August of 2021, slipping by Pearl 13-12. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Pearl's Jamari Thompson, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Gulfport to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
