It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Boiling Springs Bubblers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 63-55 victory over East Pennsboro. 63 seems to be a good number for Boiling Springs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Boiling Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Ascione led the charge by scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Fassl, who scored 16 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Boiling Springs and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for East Pennsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boiling Springs will challenge Bermudian Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Pennsboro will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
