Valley Center's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Yoder, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Yoder has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last seven times he's played. Kevin Garcia was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Valley Center is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Escondido, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-15.
