The Kaycee Buckaroos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southeast. Kaycee has not had much luck with Southeast recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Southeast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayden Desmond led the charge by scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Desmond's third in a row with at least ten points. Ayden Shimic was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Kaycee bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southeast, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Kaycee is on the road again on Friday and play against Lingle-Fort Laramie at 11:30 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Lingle-Fort Laramie is ranked 30th, while Kaycee is ranked 43rd). Southeast won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hulett at 10:30 a.m. on December 16th.
