The Escondido Charter White Tigers's five-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They took down Maranatha Christian 67-52. This was payback for Escondido Charter, who suffered a 58-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Christian Nguyen had a dynamite game for Escondido Charter, scoring 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nguyen has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ashton Pincock, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Escondido Charter's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Maranatha Christian, they bumped their record down to 9-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Escondido Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against Foothills Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Bishop's at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th.
