The Fisher Bunnies suffered their biggest defeat since November 14, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 51-30 defeat at the hands of LeRoy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fisher in their matchups with LeRoy: they've now lost eight in a row.
Fisher's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jenna Clemmons, who scored two points along with six assists, and Melina Luyando who scored ten points.
Fisher's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for LeRoy, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
Fisher will square off against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fisher in Illinois (Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley is ranked 150th, while Fisher is ranked 412th). As for LeRoy, they will square off against Heyworth at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
