Basketball Game Preview: Clarksville Christian Centurions vs. Highland Rim Academy

Clarksville Christian is 5-0 against Highland Rim Academy since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Clarksville Christian Centurions just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome Highland Rim Academy at 6:00 p.m. Clarksville Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season.

Clarksville Christian will head into Thursday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lighthouse Christian on Thursday. Clarksville Christian claimed a resounding 45-5 victory over Lighthouse Christian. The Centurions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 40 points or more this season.

Clarksville Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caylee Botz, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave Botz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sarah Jacoway, who earned nine points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Highland Rim Academy lost to Christian Community at home by a 50-33 margin on Saturday. Highland Rim Academy hasn't had much luck with Christian Community recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Clarksville Christian pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.2 points per game. As for Highland Rim Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Clarksville Christian against Highland Rim Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 75-10 win.
