Despite the loss, Denver West had strong showings from Celeste Marquez, who scored nine points, and Jenny Ruano, who scored 11 points. That was a full 55% of Denver West's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory made it two in a row for Thomas Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 7-13. As for Denver West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
