El Cajon Valley has struggled against the Vaqueros recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
El Capitan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jason Wilson, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted 22 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden McMahon, who scored 21 points.
El Cajon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for El Capitan, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7.
El Cajon Valley will play host again and welcome the Sultans, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. El Capitan's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Matadors at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Mount Miguel will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
