Basketball Recap: Will Oden-Tann Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Platt

Manchester had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Platt Panthers 79-58 on Friday. The Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manchester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Oden-Tann, who went 9-for-13 to rack up 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Oden-Tann a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). Derrick Sheets was another key player, shooting 40% from the field en route to 22 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Manchester and bumps their season record up to 22-2. As for Platt, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

Coming up, Manchester will face off against Trumbull at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Platt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
