Softball Recap: Midland Valley Wins Going Away Against Spring Valley

After only two runs in their last match, Midland Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Spring Valley on Friday. Midland Valley was the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over Spring Valley. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Jordan Nelson was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Mallorie Smith was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Midland Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

With the victory, Midland Valley broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5. As for Spring Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Midland Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Spring Valley: the pair will be back at it again later today.
