The Dalton Bulldogs will square off against the Hillsdale Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dalton comes in on four and Hillsdale on three.
Three must be Dalton's lucky number: they beat Canton Central Catholic with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Bulldogs beat the Crusaders by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2.

Mei Simmons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Arabella Wenger was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hillsdale had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rebels a 2-0 shutout.
The result came thanks to Keira Filius's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Hillsdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiki McFadden, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Hillsdale hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Dalton's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hillsdale, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dalton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Hillsdale struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dalton beat Hillsdale 7-4 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
