In what's become a running theme this season, the Genesee Wolves gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by New Standard Academy on the road to the tune of 60-32. The win was nothing new for Genesee as they're now sitting on four straight.
Genesee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Averie Zinn, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Zinn has scored at least a third of Genesee's points. Another player making a difference was Simpson Autumn, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Genesee is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for New Standard Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Genesee will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Standard Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Orioles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
