The Central City Value Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of USC-MAE by a score of 37-35. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Central City Value of the 65-47 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Central City Value lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Angel Marcial, who scored 18 points along with two steals. That was a full 51.4% of Central City Value's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leonel Chavez, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
Central City Value dropped their record down to 6-15 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for USC-MAE, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Central City Value does not have any more games scheduled as of now. USC-MAE also has no future games currently scheduled.
