Medfield and Dover-Sherborn are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Medfield beat Norwood 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Danny Vazquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. Medfield is 2-1 when Vazquez posts eight or more strikeouts, but 5-7 otherwise.
At the plate, Medfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Gobin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was Gobin's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Dover-Sherborn had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Mohawks.
Theo Allan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Peyton Shusda was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Thomas Wyatt was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Dover-Sherborn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive matchups.
Dover-Sherborn pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Medfield, their record now sits at 7-8.
Medfield skirted past Dover-Sherborn 5-3 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
