The Joliet West Tigers's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Joliet Central by a score of 57-48. That's another feather in the cap for Joliet West, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Joliet West to victory were Maziah Shelton and Ingrid Troha. Shelton scored 14 points, while Troha scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Gavin, who scored 6 points.
Joliet West's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Joliet Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joliet West will challenge Plainfield South at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Plainfield South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. As for Joliet Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Plainfield East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield East is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.5 points per game.
