After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Denton, Rockwall was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the McKinney North Bulldogs 40-37. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

When it comes to explaining why McKinney North lost, don't look at Preston Spolar. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds.

Rockwall picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 7-9. As for McKinney North, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

Rockwall will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Forney at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. This will be the Yellowjackets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for McKinney North, they will take on Irving in a tournament on Monday.
