Snow Canyon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carleigh Spafford, who had ten digs and two assists, and Tali Tupe, who had 14 kills and 11 digs. Tupe is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Hurricane didn't have quite enough to beat Dixie on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Flyers 25-18 in the first set.
Hurricane started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-7.
Snow Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Hurricane, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Snow Canyon has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Hurricane struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Snow Canyon beat Hurricane 3-1 in their previous meeting back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
