Manheim Central won the last time they faced Octorara Area and things went their way on Monday too. The Barons came out on top against the Braves by a score of 9-4.

Chase Book and Hunter Garber did most of the damage at the plate: Book went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Garber got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Book has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brody Groff, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Manheim Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Octorara Area struck out 13 times.

Manheim Central has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Octorara Area, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manheim Central will take on Eastern Lebanon County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Octorara Area, they will face off against Cocalico at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
