Like Belleview, Lecanto also got a great game from a two-way player: Abigail Males. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Males has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Males was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Melissa Plante was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Izzy Coimbre was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Belleview's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Lecanto, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.
