Basketball Recap: Gainesville Skates Past Seckinger with Ease

Gainesville's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They really took it to the Seckinger Jaguars for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-26 win. The Red Elephants have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Gainesville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damaria Colburn, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Colburn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Mintz, who scored 15 points.

Gainesville's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Seckinger, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

As of now, neither Gainesville nor Seckinger have any future games scheduled.
