On Tuesday, the Show Low Cougars faced the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Show Low enjoyed a cozy 46-31 win over Blue Ridge. Winning may never get old, but Show Low sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Raquel Wilson, who scored 13 points along with six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mikenzie Kulish, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Show Low's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Show Low will face off against Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Winslow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Show Low is ranked eighth). As for Blue Ridge, they will head out on the road to take on Snowflake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
