The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats will square off against the Sidney Team at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
On Thursday, Bainbridge-Guilford got the win against Harpursville by a conclusive 13-4. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kate Baciuska made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those hits marked the first that she has got this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alessandra Cafasso, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Danica Park was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Bainbridge-Guilford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sidney). Everything went their way against Walton on Wednesday as they made off with a 19-2 victory. The Team haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Like Bainbridge-Guilford, Sidney also got a great game from a two-way player: Teagan Stanton-Helms. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Stanton-Helms was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Emily Russo was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kate Young, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
The victory got Bainbridge-Guilford back to even at 3-3. As for Sidney, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bainbridge-Guilford has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sidney struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bainbridge-Guilford came up short against Sidney in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 5-2. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
