Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Mott Corsairs walked away with it. They came out on top against Seaholm by a score of 34-21 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Mott sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Kalieb Osborne, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. Mott also got help from Ayden Bowe who showed off his sure hands for 113 receiving yards.
Seaholm's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Granden Kinnie, who rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Mott's win was their fourth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.8 points per game. As for Seaholm, their defeat ended a 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
Mott will head out on the road to face off against Carlson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carlson is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games. Seaholm does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
